I’ve dreamed about becoming a published writer—well, I’ll have to admit—since I was a junior in high school in 1972. Now, that’s about 53 years ago. I must seem ancient to some of you, though I’m convinced I’m a young 70-year-old soul. At any rate, I’ve never let go of that Dream to write, no matter how often the circumstances in life stuffed it back down my spirit’s throat whenever it attempted to escape.
Yet, as of today, that Dream has been permanently paroled! I can’t express to you how GREAT it is to be so close to achieving that half-century dream. Writing has become more than a reawakened passion or retirement hobby. It’s the best job I’ve ever held! A massive undertaking that consumes a fair share of my time each day, but it will never take priority over God, family, and friends!
My encouragement to you this day: If you’re currently wrestling with a choice to chase something that you can’t get out of your head or heart, and you’ve prayed, are at peace, and believe God is giving you the green light, then you’d better start running after it NOW! Time doesn’t know how to stand still while we waffle in indecision. Why let months, years, even decades go by, when you can have the best in life today!
“A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.” (Proverb 16:9 AMPC)
Just a reminder, Book One, Champagne Waves and Sailing Ships, in my series, The Golden Ladder, is winding its way through the publication process. My website blogs will keep you apprised of my progress, with an early 2026 release date in mind.
Please share my website link with your family and friends. I’d greatly appreciate your help launching my writing career by spreading the word about my upcoming novel! Also, I’d love to hear from you!
