I see that you’ve left your shoes beside your beach blanket. Wise decision! Now, let’s stretch our legs and enjoy a natural foot massage as we kick through the fringe of the gentle, foamy waves and fine sand.
Let’s chat about Book One of The Golden Slide series, Champagne Waves and Sailing Ships, specifically the geographical locations featured in each book. I love where I have lived since 2004, so I thought it appropriate to bring my delightful locality—New Smyrna Beach, Florida—into each novel in the series. This place oozes romance as much as it does palm trees, blue skies, kind weather, and small-town tropical charm.
It’s the ideal setting for finding love, whether for the first time or a second chance.
Every restaurant, bar, business, attraction, or street that appears in my books is real. You will learn that fact when you visit us and check out these various places. I’ll also include pictures of such places and our spectacular sunrises in future blogs. But I highly encourage you to come, shop, eat, sunbathe, and love, as my book characters do. See for yourself how it’s easy to believe:
– Your best is yet to come! It’s like a rainbow arcing across the ocean after a refreshing summer afternoon rain. You must grab it before it melts away. You deserve better days celebrated with new experiences, dreams fulfilled, and pain, hurt, and loss put behind you, regardless of your age or life circumstances. Stop that drumbeat in your head telling you that ‘the best is yet to come for you’ is just a fantasy. Banish those thoughts. Forever!
Most of my main characters will learn this and unlock unexpected joy and happiness, while some will not. Love is a roller coaster ride with hills and curves, exhilaration and fear. Early on in each book of the Golden Slide series, you will contemplate, even root for, which characters will have a happy conclusion to their ride and which ones will not, having thrown up at some point along their journey!
Oh, boy, where did the time go? Can we look for seashells and other marine gems again this Friday? I’ll share the third of my three goals that I’ll interweave in my writing throughout this series. By the way, you don’t have to leave our beach just yet. Continue walking, dream on, and get it down into your spirit that your best is yet to come. Throw ALL your negative thoughts into the sea to drown and be carried away on the Gulf Stream current!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
Please share my website link with your family and friends. I’d greatly appreciate your help launching my writing career by spreading the word about my upcoming novel! Be blessed! If you’d like to check out New Smyrna Beach, please visit: https://www.cityofnsb.com
