If You Can See It, Then You Can Still Grab It!

One thing about growing older, especially after entering retirement, is that it’s very easy to slip into a zone of comfort and detachment from the world around us. It’s a place where we stop pushing ourselves to be more than we are and gradually accept that the best years, experiences, and achievements are permanently behind us.

Avoid that place at all costs UNLESS it’s what you truly desire. You deserve to be happy and peaceful. Yet, if there’s something roaming and growling in your stomach—prodding you for more excitement, challenge, or clean gratification—then, have at it! It will most likely be a more difficult animal to tackle today than when you were in your 20s, 30s, and even 40s. But that’s okay because you’re a winner, an overcomer, and an explorer who believes there’s more of life to experience before the flame atop your candle is extinguished. Forever.

Now, prepare your heart, body, mind, and spirit for the journey to do something that at the moment might seem unattainable, although wholly possible and well within your reach, if you can just keep punching, moving, and believing. After all, each one of us is stronger than we think we are, and your time on this planet is proof that you are a force to be reckoned with!

Well, it’s time for me to dig deep and get back to working on my first novel and process my beta readers’ feedback. I’ve got this, just like you’ve got yours. Hey, champion, be blessed in your mighty endeavors, because your BEST is still to come!

God said, “Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 AMPC)
