The Amazing Joy of First Occurrences!

I’m not a person who believes in luck or coincidence. Rather, I know there is more to life than that, and that nothing happens by accident. There is a purpose and a master plan to everything, such as the first time I was handed a paper paycheck. Or the first time I drove a car, went on a first date with a girl, proposed to my wife, and moved from a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, to Coral Springs, Florida. Such FIRST occurrences are monumental, ongoing, and UNIQUE to us.

My wife and I will be in Virginia this weekend to attend the baby shower for our oldest grandson and his wife’s child. Such an exciting time! This will be my grandson’s FIRST time becoming a father! This will also be my daughter and son-in-law’s FIRST time becoming grandparents! And this will be my wife’s and my FIRST time becoming great-grandparents!

No, man, this was divinely planned from the beginning of time!

“I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.’” (Isaiah 46:10 NIV)
